  • Artist Justine Kuran to exhibit at Novotel Melbourne St Kilda Sept 21 - 23

We are excited to announce that we will be part of the 3rd 'St Kilda Art Crawl'(presented by the St Kilda Arts Community) Sept 21 - 23 with artist Justine Kuran to be our artist of choice.

"Paper Art takes on a whole new level of creativity…

For the past 5 years artist Justine Kuran has been working from her home studio, teaching herself how to perfect the ancient art form of ‘Quilling’ or ‘Paper Filigree’. Justine has perfected this meticulous technique and has been showcasing and selling her works by creating unique three-dimensional creations made entirely from paper.

Justine has been fortunate to be commissioned to create gifts for many visiting international guests and local dignitaries over the past few years including Hollywood legends, Goldie Hawn and Jane Seymour, former Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, former Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, Australian of the Year, Rosie Batty and inspiring leaders such as Dr Susan Alberti and the Honourable Linda Dessau.

Justine recently presented her first solo exhibition, ‘Paper Round’ and is excited to exhibit at the Novotel Melbourne St Kilda next month. The monochrome exhibition will include some favourites from ‘Paper Round’ in addition to a series of brand new contemporary artworks and recreated iconic images from such celebrated artists as Ai WeiWei, Keith Haring, Banksy and Jeff Koons.  The meticulous works are all created from paper and is an incredibly detailed body of work that needs to be seen to be believed."

  • Novotel Melbourne St Kilda has partnered with Puffs the Play, now on at the Alex Theatre in Fitzroy Street

    TEG Live

In association with: Tilted Windmills Theatricals John Arthur Pinckard & David Carpenter

The record breaking smash off-Broadway hit now in its second year comes to Melbourne. The New York Times says Puffs “Exudes a jovial winking fondness for [a certain boy wizard]!"

"...Puffs finally get their due in hilarious new play" declares Mashable. For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

The play gives you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three new heroes just trying to make it through magic school.

Puffs matinees are fun for the whole family! On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, the show has been lightly transfigured so that wizards ages 8 and up can share in the magic of Puffs, and parents can relax knowing their kids won't learn any new curses.
